Let's fall into fall

My area of the country this time of the year is God's country.

As l watch the leaves turn their backs to the fading summer sun, we welcome our next season. Autumn 🍂

In Iowa we have four postcard seasons and autumn is everyone's favorite. Warm days, cool nights. Plenty of high school and college football. We enjoy all the orchards, pumpkin patches and warm cider. You see why it is truly heaven here. By the way, are you aware there really is a slogan; “ is this heaven, no its Iowa.” Name that movie?

Anyway, l went off course as we savor this season and prepare for what's coming. I will not grumble about our winters. Many people do. I make the best of all our changes. Winter is a slow time for less outside work and a break from our extreme heat. Unless it snows. A different story for sure.

So where ever you write or read from. Enjoy the moment. Breathe. Soak up the slowness of life.
