Not on my bucket list.
Me having a tattoo, body ink or self expressive skin was not for me. I'm not really against it in fact all of my adult kids have them. I linked them to bikers and military people. I know very Midwestern of me.
So when I got my first and only tattoo at 62 l surprised myself. I was going through my dear mother's house and she had saved many things, but many of her correspondence aways finished with “all my love” so beautifully written.
The idea of not ever seeing that again from her was overwhelming to me and then and there l knew l had to persevere it.
My sister accompanied me to the salon and she also had it inked on her skin. I chose foot, her on the arm. You see my mother's words were beautiful but her cursive handwriting more so.
Everyday l get to see these words and smile with love and gratitude.
So never limit your bucket list
